Aviv Geffen is one of the most popular artists in Israel. Due to his lyrics and appearance, he has been an icon for young, dissenting Israelis for many years. He is the son of the poet Yehonatan Geffen and the nephew of ex-Prime Minister President Ezer Weizman and Moshe Dayan, Israel's Defense Minister, yet dropped out of the army and is an active supporter of peace. He was also the last person to be with then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin before Rabin's assasination. Aviv himself has survived two attempts on his life.
