Their songs have been included on best-selling compilations released by Windham Hill, Hearts of Space and Sparrow/EMI Records. They originally began working with one another in Portland, Oregon where Johnson grew up and Dunning was a member of the popular Celtic ensemble, Nightnoise. Johnson now resides with his family on Camano Island, Washington while Dunning lives with his family outside Dublin, Ireland where he grew up.
