The compositions reflect three "power sites" where shamen or medicine men regularly gather for ceremonies and rituals - The Black Hills of South Dakota, Canyon De Chelly in Arizona and Atitlan in Guatemala. Compositions also feature Native AMericanpercussion, keyboards and environmental sounds. About the Artist One of the groups instrumental in the Renaissance of the Native American flute, The Native Flute Ensemble, was one of the first group of musicians to frame the Native American flute with other instruments. During their career they have recorded several CDs including "Riding Thunder" and "Ritual Mesa."
