Picking up the electric guitar along the way, she moved to Los Angeles to begin work on what would become “Irrational Anthem” – an ambitious lyrical and musical work that offers an alternative to those sick of corporate sanitized music. RPM’s blatant irreverence, and acclaimed live show, go even further to set her apart as she guns into guitar solos while singing lead and rocking out with a presence that is both magnetic and hypnotic. About the Artist Born in Kentucky and raised in Virginia, RPM grew up in a politically conservative, close-knit Catholic family. Studying classical voice, piano and flute at a young age, she then moved on to electric guitar "to rock" and electric violin "because we needed violin on the tracks…so I picked one up and started playing." Outspoken and driven, RPM headed to New York "as soon as I could." While working the "requisite shitty jobs & enduring the requisite shitty life experiences," and performing on stage, television, and Bleeker Street, RPM received a degree concentrating in Epic Literature from NYU. She then took off to Los Angeles "for a change of scene" and began working with various songwriters, musicians and producers. One of those collaborators was Frank Gryner (A Perfect Circle, Rob Zombie, Closure) with whom RPM would go on to create IRRATIONAL ANTHEM, "a writing experiment spun crazily out of control…I have a lot to say. About life. About politics. About people, about myself. We sat down to write one track and an album created itself." Releasing IRRATIONAL ANTHEM through her own independent label 7940 Records is something RPM didn't question. "I wanted people to hear my music...now. Not wait on a corporation to sanction it." Without any major label backing, RPM's IRRATIONAL ANTHEM has defied odds earning incredible reviews and praise from the press, her peers, and fans alike.
