JP & The Rhythm Chasers a band that is passionate about Hot Jazz and Swing. They dig deep and explore the roots that made Jazz great like ragtime, classical, blues, gospel and old world minor melodies. Their music will evoke flashes back to a golden time where Jazz rang through dance halls and hep joints and people experienced stories and melodies set to a hot syncopated beat. They have taken this music to heart and hope you will too. JP & The Rhythm Chasers are: Joshua Perkins on guitar and vocals, Erick Perkins on stand-up bass, Doug Ellington (Duke's grand nephew) on trumpet, Jason Bellenkes on clarinet and tenor sax, Darius Minae and Mike Burns sharing drumming duty and for special shows Marty Eggers on piano. The Rhythm Chasers music can be heard in Jazz, Blues and Rock clubs as well as traditional dance venues and festivals.
