This comforting, tender CD combines such essential favorites as Rock-A-Bye Baby, Sleep Baby Sleep, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star with unique, beautiful versions of Tell Me Why, Dona Nobis Pacem, and Kumbayah. After graduating UCLA with a BA in voice performance, Ms. Tallman began a career in the recording industry, working at A&M Records and moving on to become one of the founders of Interscope Records. Susie worked on the production side with producer Jimmy Iovine with artists from Tracy Chapman & Tom Petty to A Very Special Christmas Cd benefitting the Special Olympics. Wanting to concentrate more on her singing, she sang backup for such acts as Ronnie Spector & Darlene Love, Cheap Trick and Tom Jones. She can also be seen and heard in the motion picture Beaches, and in a variety of national advertisements including the Coca Cola Reunion commercial and spots for Taco Bell. She has performed both solo and in choruses in such venues as Carnegie Hall, The Rose Bowl, The Los Angeles Forum and Pauley Pavillion. In the Bay Area she has performed with The Oakland Symphony Chorus and is currently a member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. On a few songs, Susie is joined in gentle harmony by the wonderful singer Merrie Amsterburg whose record 'Season of Rain' is about to be released on Zoe/Mercury Records. Merrie is a wonderful solo artist who has opened up for Paula Cole among others, and also appears as a guest artist on the Respond CD, a compilation to benefit battered women. Merrie is based in Boston, Massachusetts and appears courtesy of Q Division Records. Lullaby Themes for Sleepy Dreams also features the incredible original artwork of Irene Hardwicke. Irene is a painter based on the East Coast; her paintings have appeared in many publications and galleries including The New York Times, New York Arts Magazine, Cover Magazine, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, New York Press, James Graham & Sons Gallery-NY, and Margaret Bodeli Gallery-NY.
